One night only
A neighbor friend called me to see if I wanted to come and view her night blooming cereus. "It only blooms for one night and then it's gone", she said as I ran out the door with the point-and-shoot. This sprawly plant is a desert native and this particular one is a relative of one Georgia O'Keeffe had. It was the first time I'd seen one, just spectacular, and the fragrance was divine.
